Is It Smart To Check The Backlinks First Bfore Submission ?

When submitting to a paid directory. Is it smart to check its backlinks first before submission to see whether the owner is promoting the site ?

I check the backlinks sometimes,particularly if it's PR0.......

 

You can do the site:www.indexqueen.com but my favorite ways of checking is just by typing the domain... indexqueen.com into the search field, this way you'll see a buncha sites that indexqueen has been link to.

Google seem's to have a limit of 1000 sites max.

 

I check the page strength

 

Umm in my case I just submit it. no matter it's a pr0 or not. who knows later it might change to be PR4+. checking backlink is good if you wanna make sure you submit to a quality site. just my opinion.

 

Im talking about paid directories. But if your talking about free I dont give a DAMN. As I see most people are cheap.

 

ys. I use pagestrength tool since it gives backlinks info along with other info.

 

I go to top directories like aviva, alive, gii etc.. and submit to those sites which are listed in them

 

Have you check your backlinks recently ? If I am not mistaken Highest BL PR is PR4.

 

Are you talking about which sites ? BQTM ? It has PR8 backlink also...

You know jude --I always check backlinks --before I submit. They are great indication of of the future of your link. Though no tool is 100% accurate --they are fairly indicative. of a directory's strength.

Actually Jude, i don't think there is any tool or any other thing which can tell you whether the directory is worth or not. Let's have an example for the following quote and let's make somethings clear here.

Now let's have it this way. I own a site say ABC . com which is a PR0. consider it to be new. Now i have a permanent link from a site say XYZ . com which is again a PR0. however the owner of XYZ .com is a great promoter of his site and let's say it has 5 PR9's and 10 PR8's and stuff. Now What you would see is that the site ABC. com has a backlink from a site XYZ .com with a PR0. You can really not imagine that particular site with PR0 may get a PR7 or PR8 in the very next update, and if so is the case then the site ABC has a permanent PR7 or PR8 link. Isn't it so. So till there is a PR update, you won't be able to know whether the site is worth submitting to or not.

This is a pity that each and everythings comes and ends on "What's the damn pagerank"

P.S. can you PM me the link to the tool which you used up there. Coz some people really don't want to share the tool's link even if we are talking for the damn first time and they keep on bragging blah blah blah and they simply say, no i won't be sharing the tool's url coz it might be exploited. Huh To that person, thank you very much, someday...sooner or later, i will get the tool and no one can stop it.

 

I do not have time to check every directories backlinks. But to be honest I do check alot of directory backlinks owned by dp members. The reason is because there are so many members here who claim that they are doing this, or doing that, or they know that their directory will be pr whatever on the next update, but when you check the stats you find out that some of these guys are not really doing anything to push their directory at all.

Therefore, I do not submit to directories owned by members who make such false claims, unless it is free of course. Now because I know everyone spys on everyone here is the tool that you are looking for.
