What camera do you use and do u use any software to edit the photos ? I have...actually had a Canon G6, and we lost it, so need to buy a new camera....thinking...any suggestions from the Photo Pro ?
Honey, it depends on your budget. I would suggest you look at the Canon EOS 400D and the Nikon D80. Both these cameras are DSLRs and you will need to buy separate lenses for them depending upon your requirement.
he uses a Canon 30D, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1909266&postcount=8 A VERY nice "pro-sumer" DSLR; if not the best IMO. The primary difference between a point and shoot vs. a DSLR, you can interchange lenses with a DSLR. I just bought the 400D (Rebel XTi). Like he said, it all depends on your budget and usage. Are you serious about photography or just want one for every day stuff and to take along on vacations and fire a few shots off? If it's the latter you might be better off with a nice P&S. Just to give you an idea, (with Canon anyway) the really nice lenses are $1K+ typically.
Honey, most of your questions have been answered very nicely by Tim. My suggestion go for the Canon 400D (what Tim has). And if you can afford it, buy the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS lens ($ 1100 aprox). If that is too much, you can go for the Sigma 24-60mm f2.8 EX DG Lens ($ 400).
