    and tell if the background colour is too much and maybe suggest a new colour?

    I can not think of a color off hand, but take a look at google and search for "aethetic color combination" or something like that, and I am sure you will find something to help you. The green background is just a little too much on the eyes, it would almost be better as white or black (you pick)

    i say the same also, colors combination not that great. it will look much better if you had white for the center content bkgd.

    (sh.... can't have live links yet.)
    So you have to google "wellstyled" and go to tools.

    yeh i agree the blue needs to be a bit paler, maybe the green a little darker to create small contrast

    maybe try to make the backgroundcolor white and make the blue a little darker, or design a background image that has a color white...

    Actually that blue does not bother me at all. You have that "skunk" theme going on and they are not that pleasant to be around anyway:). But really that blue is not bad at all.

    But the combination of blue and green is not good. I'd even try and see how a pale gray will look like instead of green. If not try this tool:http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html

    Dark text on the blue background would be very hard to read for the people who are using LCD or monochrome display devices, it may be a good idea to use white text on the blue background everywhere, and to change the white background in the content area to the maroon one with white text also.

    The Background color doesn't look good, Seriously, I think you must choose a Lighter Blue Color instead so that it match the foreground too
