Whose your favorite domain registrar?

We were just thinking about organizing all of our domains onto one registrar so we wanted to hear fellow DPers opinions on their personal favorites and maybe a reson why.

    :)

    IMHO.

Never ever use or going to use GoDaddy
I think he's highly unreliable and generally he has the power to set his own rules disregarding everyone. He prooved it with the latest abuse examples that were discussed so much to DP and other forums

Never trust GoDaddy so my vote goes to DomainSite.com 3 years without a problems so far

I use exclusively Moniker, while I think they would need some more staff for the support, they have god prices (I have a discount), and great security.

But my friends use Enom and godaddy and they are satisfied with them too.

I would suggest you do a little testing. Try moving a domain from some other registrar into godaddy and then try it the other way. Then repeat at one of your other registrars. For me, the constant upsells, multiple pages where one would do and general hassle factor mean I won't buy domains there. Just my experience of course.

I'm sure someone will have something to say about it but I really prefer enom.

If a domain shows available on there site you can get it for sure. I've had GD mess up more than a few times with this for some reason.
Also if you happen to try and go for a domain someone else is also trying to grab coming out of deletion or something I find enom will usually be the winner.
I don't have anything negative to say about them.

    GoDaddy Rulez ...

Otherwise if you have some very important/money making domain you'd better go with MONIKER they are quite more secure ...

I lost one of my domains .. it was stolen from my "godaddy" account and that kind'a sucked especially after the fact that I tried to contact the Godaddy abuse team but nobody responded and I lost the domain .....

So .. it depends on the value ..

    Cheers,

    Venetsian.

Got few with Godaddy for almost a year now, however recently purchased three domains from Namecheap and loved their service. I guess will be using Namecheap in future.

I have used many different ones, especially when buying websites from others who use different places. But my experience has been best with godaddy.com. they often will update the changes I make within a few hours and there are real people to bitch to when things dont work.

I registered my domain names mainly from Godaddy, some from 1and1.

If you want to test some sites to see if they have a future, use Godaddy, because you can use its free hosting. ( If you register with Godaddy, you can use its free hosting plan which has adds on top).

I have been using godaddy and haven't had a problem at all. Seems to be coupons found here on the forums that lower the prices making them almost unbeatable. According to a show I saw on TV (Everything on TV is true, you know. ;) ) they are 30% larger than any other domain registering company (i believe that is the percentage, if not more). Size doesn't always matter, but that does say something about their reputation. I will continue to use them. I have never had a problem.
