    hi
I have a suggestion that I think will help!
I think it would help to disable the quick reply on the 1st page of topics that have multiple pages!
what do you think? maybe a read more button to replace it!
i think the quick reply on the 1st pages causes old threads to get bumped and lots of other unnecessary post!
just my thoughts don't know how hard it would be to accomplish!

how is that going to help reduce bumps? there are threads with 2 posts and 2-year-old.

lots if not most threads here have more than one page!
and it would help keep people from posting questions that have been answered and asking about & bidding on items that have been sold or no longer avail! and lots more i really think it would help!

Im not saying it would keep people from bumping their own thread!
just random readers opening up old out of date threads! this happens alot if you use search

That just shows that the readers do not like reading topics properly and hence are not good for doing business with, at all. It serves a very important purpose mate.

Before a member clicks on a thread, he can already see how old the thread is. So IMO, this will not help at all.

sorry i think this would be nice
i honestly Think the reply should only be at the end of the thread(last page) unless you quote some one!
    just my opinion /suggestion!

and im a super multi tasker
so some tymez i over look the page # and even the dates!
tho i do think info is info and its ok to open a old thread instead of making a new one about the same thing!

I don't think that quick reply will help in reducing bumps. Remember that there is a last page link under multipage threads. It will only help in making the life of others difficult. Without the quick reply option, replying to a thread will take thrice the original time.

Anyone who is accustomed to vB, knows how many replies/pages are there in the thread.

    like i said above !
I think the reply should be at the end of the thread!
so if its a 1 page thread of course the reply would be there as normal!
but on a 5 page thread I think the quick reply should only be at the end!

    THIS ISN'T ABOUT BUMPS!
    LOGIC
