Wow! Free Custom Articles for the First Three Responses!

It's been a while since I spent time "meeting" the newest webmasters looking for content. Now that the school year is coming to a close, and I'm working to build up some new clients for the summer, I'm making a special offer. (The school year is relevant as I am an English teacher as well as completing my Masters in Library Science.)

Here's the offer:

I will write one 350-500 word article, at no charge, for each of the first three individuals (a total of three separate articles) who reply on this thread with the following:

- The topic in question (I won't do gambling, porn, illegal, offensive or tutorial style articles)

- 1-2 specific keywords, if desired

- The purpose of the article (This tells me the best format to use as well as the overall tone of the article itself)

- You should also send a PM with your preferred method of delivery if you are uncomfortable posting an email address in the thread. I prefer to send via email to maintain formatting.


WAIT! Before you rush to reply, I should tell you the conditions.

I write quality material that naturally generates keywords and will not include any unnatural phrasing simply to work in a specific keyword phrase. My excessive pride won't let me write something that sounds odd or sloppy.

I have existing clients, and they always come first. I will have your article completed within 2-3 days of your response here, so please don't ask me for anything sooner than that.

I would ask you to offer comments or (hopefully) praise in this tread once you receive the article. A little iTrader never hurt anyone either.

Those who don't manage to get the first three responses and others who might be interested, my rates vary by style of work, but a standard 500-word article is usually $30. (See? I told you this was a great deal!)

I'm no expert writer but isn't that a bit high for a 500 word article? That is about 6 cents a word.

Just a question, not criticizing.

 

I can't say anything for internetauthor because unfortunately, I was unable to jump on this wonderful deal. However, $30.00 for an article is not horrendous. It all depends on the purpose of your site. If your goal is to get a couple of keywords in an article and throw some adsense up and hope for the best, then this person isn't the one for you. If you're looking to create a site whose content is amazing and well written, I figure internetauthor is the one to do that. However, I have not seen any of her writing, so I cannot say that for certain.

 

Thanks MafiaMaster - you saved me from having to demonstrate my own lack of a humble nature.

For anyone interested in checking out samples to see if they are "amazing and well written," they are available through my portfolio or Suite101 where I am a contributing writer.

$0.06 is actually a bit low for a professional rate - the standard "starting" professional rate is $0.10 per word. I have been known to work at that rate for items such as copywriting and specific client engagements.

D C, there is no need to apologize. You asked a legitimate question on a pricing issue many webmasters (and writers!) don't fully understand. I'm glad you found a satisfactory answer.

500 words is too much for internet article. Most people drop reading after 10-20 sec. if they see such long article.

Im working on this market(articles) for 2 years now and based on our previous experience I dont recommend to write articles more then 300-400 words.

just my 2 cents.

 

It is some interesting advice however it really depends on the content. If it is for entertainment purpose then it should not be to long. However if it is to get information about a certain topic out there, the people should want to read more about it.

It is all about the purpose of your website and the articles on it.
