No risk at all to your computer or adsense account, they're actually more trustful than others because they're from GOOGLE.

It is deffinately a Risk... :(

As soon as you login to the account, some weird chubby guy with glasses gets access to your computer and starts compulsively using your bandwidth to search for sites with cats.

    It's fine.

The only "risk" I can imagine is that if you do a lot of interlinking between sites you're pretty much telling google what you're doing but there's a good chance they know already.

Yes. This is what sometimes I am worried about. So I try not to put all my sites into one account.

Google probably does track your IP address as one easy way of identifying if a webmaster clicks his own adds.
Therefore I try to limit where I login to my adsense/analytics/webmaster tools account.

If you work in a large company (like me) where over 2000 people effectively use the same ip address, I think it is prudent to avoid loggin in at work.

The only risk I see is giving Google quicker access to the information they will have in a few weeks anyway. The only problem is if you are doing something that will get you banned from Google. If you are doing that, the will catch you anyway sooner or later.

It seems like a lot of people are taking Google for granted! WHY!

Ok, I admit that there had not been any such incidence so far! Yet Google is nothing but a business organization!

And - it is safe from third party to use Webmaster tools.
