Surviving The Storm and The Backstabbers

I hope the jealousy ends here. The backstabbers are gonna be happy. I did not survive the DMOZ storm as well as other sites. Some stayed and some did not. I wish you well and you know WHO you are and thinking this is a game. For the most part I think this is for YOU. Be glad and you have achieved your goal.

Most directory owners don't realize the MEANING of HARD WORK. They see something that they are not they go SOUR. I checked every page of his site including Category and Sub Category descriptions and have seen NOTHING. I have checked the listings of his site and found it is just waiting for SUBMISSION Links. Not even a SELF added Informational Resource, NOT EVEN ONE. But that's fine I will continously building my site that was and where it was PRIMARILY intended to; Informational Resource.

Life goes on but I SHIT you not.

Thats really something bad. Of --late I can see some feeling jealous of our community --here.

While I was a newcomer too ( I still consider myself a newbie in the industry) -- I see some newcomers with few posts creating some dis-harmony and showing jealousy.

But in the long run--even though they are also directory owners --they are hurting the whole industry and earning a bad name not only for those they report --but for themshelves too. They are so pig-headed that they don't realize by reporting other directory --their directories too will get bad name.

I really wouldn't care what some people say or do on the forums.. business is business, if they want to be sour with their business let them.. it'll be you who'll be profiting from their losses in the future.

Most regurgitate someone elses work and call it a breakthrough. I do all of my sites the old fashioned way... with time and thought...

 

What did you expect with blatant announcements and advertising the new additions?

I knew something was going to happen when some questionable directories were added.

It took me a bit to realize what happened too, but it seems DMOZ must be doing to some defensive posturing because they are threatened. Too bad, but really this just further reflects the problem with DMOZ.

 

Can you please be a bit more specific? Not just who is responsible, but what, and why is it so bad?

I thought that the idea behind Dmoz is that no one person can keep a site out of it, if it deserves to be listed? I don't edit for Dmoz, so I don't know how true this is. But if it is true, try making a complaint. And if not, it's really just a link, and not all that significant any more.

 

Well while it lasted for me it was all ok , now they removed my site also (looks like my forums has pissed off some really evil meta editors but come on guys lighten up a little) . Anyways just shows how dmoz actually works...

Insider: It is confirmed it was a meta who removed all those directories. Will not reveal the source so do not bother asking how i know.

Do not feel sorry dude, dmoz is not the end of the world for all of us. Just proves a point, which others know what it is exactly so will not explain the point either.

Did someone report you for something you did not do?

Its not only him lots of other directories got removed cause they manage to criticize dmoz at times. No enemies popo has as far i know. Neither does anyone else here for that fact. Its not that someone reported or anything its just that the meta in question realized that such edits were ever made.Nothing special seems like it has become a trend by some metas to follow dmoz, had only those congrats threads at dp not made evil metas would have not noticed the same for years and would not have cared less.
