I have noticed that some of my oldest site that I have been tracking only show 1 or 2 pages now under "pages in URL" for Google. I am only worried because maybe one of these spammer sites that copies whole sites has mine and it is coming up as duplicates or something? Anyone else see this or think it could be an issue? Thanks for any input on this.
Your pages would still show even if they were duplicated on other sites. Googles messing around again. They will probably come back in a couple days, or after the next time wordtracker updates it's database (a Google change might be causing it to have the wrong number) The duplicate filter doesn't seem to affect the strongest page of the set of duplicate pages. With in two days of me writting and uploading the "SEO Checklist" page in my footer, I found several sites that copied the whole page (even all the links back to my site ) to thier blogs and other sites. If anything I think it has sent more traffic to my site, definitly hasn't hurt me with getting the page listed or in it showing in the SERPs
Thanks, it was one of those things that I really don't normally pay attention to and I was hoping that it wasn't something serious. Usually google shows a small number, but not just 1.
