GoogleGuyGate

GoogleGuy is alive and well and he is not Mr. Sullivan. GoogleGuy is a Google engineer and it says so on the official Google blog. Here is some info on GoogloGuy.

GoogleGuy is a engineer at Google who posts at the Search Engine News Forum, at the WebmasterWorld Forum, and has posted some comments at ThreadWatch.

A number of people are wondering if the March 23rd comments posted at Slashdot on Web pages being hijacked where he takes a wack at Nick W are his or not.

I have read all the 24 GoogleGuy Comments at Slashdot and he is with out a doubt in my opinion the one and only.

I have spoken with a number of SEO'er that are in the know and have spoken with GoogleGuy personally. He is a Google Employee and he is a real person.

If you Google around a bit you find a few people claiming that GoogleGuy is Matt Cutts.

Well put, aeiouy. A lot of regurgitated speculation and hearsay but that's about it.

I don't know (or care all that much really) who GoogleGuy is but having a thousand forum posters saying it's Matt Cutts doesn't prove a thing.

I have asked a few of the Google Girls ( as far as I recall), and was pretty much told they were not allowed to talk about Google Guy. At that point I realized that I really didn't care

No offense taken. I just thought I would post some factual info in this thread of speculation. We do know one think that the official Google blog has a post from some one saying they are GoogleGuy, and that they work for Google as an engineer. Now that may not be conclusive proof but for people will a clue it should tell them some thing.

 

I get it... so when google posts on a blog there is a person posting as googleguy its serious.

When they make a sign pointing to him at the google hq its a joke?

Well I dont think its ready to conclude. I have posted what I have found out. Bob mutch comes in to post his capt obvious post dressed like cpt crunch in avatar. Yet he doesnt challenge any of my posts.

 

Actually, he looks more like the guy on the Quaker Oats box...
