Directories Chargebacks - Tonerboss . com

Discussion in 'Directories' started by onlinedude, Apr 13, 2007.

Just a heads up to directory owners.

I received a chargeback today for a submission from Tonerboss . com that was made on January 31 to both Aviva and Kwikgoblin.

The reason for the chargeback was that this was an "unauthorized transaction."

The paypal address is ...@tonerboss . com.

So let me figure this out. Someone broke into your paypal account and used your money to make directory submissions for your own site. Go figure.

    Thanks Jeff for the info.

If dkessaris is right --I think directory owners should get together and file petition with Paypal--all together --that would freeze his/her account and if PP sees so many going against him --it might teach him a lesson too.

Sorry to hear so many directory owner are experiencing this problem. I often wonder why PayPal accepts these lame excuses.

When the PayPal email address matches the domain submitted, it's pretty clear. If someone hacked your account do you really think they're going to spend the funds submitting your site to directories? Such BS.

I got the same one, I replied saying that it was strange the site submitted matched the owners email. I also supplied the link where is site is listed. I will wait and see how they rule. Has anyone had them rule for the complaint maker?

Does anyone here have the clout or experience with Paypal to possibly send this thread to Paypal and show a history of this turd's fraudulent activities?

Paypal personal is very carefully selected, they have a very complicated human resources hiring process.

So they have during the years carefully hand picked probably the most stupid people in the world, when you think carefully on this, you discover that any outcome from this stupid disputes is possible.

I thought that chargebacks cannot be made after 60 days?
How was he able to file a dispute with PayPal? Or was this CC chargeback?

To be fair it is not really the folks that work at Paypal it is the set of stupid rules they operate by.

The rules really suck, the phone people are kind of nice and helpful, but the people that reply to e-mails are really stupid, you probably get better results with a good AI automated system.
