    Hi all,

Just curious as to who you have delt with that kept to the deal and acted quickly here on the forums.

I am finding myself doing more and more business here at DP and wouldnt mind knowing who is cool and who isnt.

The names that come to mind for me are:

    smindsrt
    ysf1
mysticmedia (have done a ton of business with mysticmedia)
    serenity
    whatifind
    Sandwalker
    Henny
    Gibson
    GTech

There are plenty more but this list was very quick with PM's payment and quickness of the deal altogether.

    How about you lot?

It would be nice if there was a seperate rep scale for the B/S/T forum....

Like 1-10 rank of what you thought of the service/quality of work.

    That would be cool...

I know Shawn has shown interest in developing that so maybe it will be implemented in the future.

My list is similar to the first post with the following being big ones (well ones I have had transactions with):

    mysticmedia -link buyer/seller
    serenity - provides content
    seBasic - Design work
    weirfire - General coding
    Also:
    dcristo
    smindsmrt
    dct
    onlinedude
    samsam
    I, Brian
    Nitin M
    just-4-teens

As a side note, I always give a green rep when a transaction goes really smooth and easy. I think those that don't post a lot but contribute heavily to the trustworthiness of Buy/Sell/Trade should have some rep to show it

Thats a good point. A ranking system for Buy/Sell/Trade would also be useful to gauge if there is any risk in providing server access which is sometimes neccesary for certain freelance jobs.

I think this system is awkward.

Never done business but I would.
Crazy Rob, Shawn, Summer, Shoemoney all of whom will probably have a low business ranking because they have no need to really do much actual business on dp.

Someone who sells more is likely to get better rep, open to rigging, if youre in the club then youre in the club etc, people have different ideas of what good business/ deal is.

It would probably be far easier to just 'tag' those that cross the line with a 'dont do business with me title', ban them from those forums or something and let people be their own judges on who is worth it.

yfs you seem to be catching alot of the scammers anyway ;)

Although the real value of the4 system would be open comments so that the buyer could decide. I agree that if its just a blob its useless but having the comments available just gives you one more evaluation tool

Perhaps I didnt post this in the proper context.

Im more of looking to find those that have steller records on doing business. Those are the folks I would turn to first.

A system may help with this no?

    First of all the people I have done business so far on DP and has gone smoothly are;

yfs1, Cyclops, Crazyhorse, Hodgedup. There are a few others but I cant remember who they are.

I think any system you build for BST could be easily falsified. Ideally you would have an average score out of 10 where people would rate you between 1 and 10 but since there is no way to decipher what a jobs description is people could easily forge jobs they've done and give each other 10s.

Unless DP had a system where you posted a job and there was someone that would get the job posted. This would be kind of like an eBay system where you give positive or negative reputation then this has a possibility of working.

This would be a lot of work for Shawn though at no return... (unless he started charging per job posted)

We sure are, right, bud? :D

Don't worry abot trusting here... we are all decent guys, any scammer gets the boot or ends up with red rep, it is easy to see who you shouldn't trust (although there are some guys like ys1 that trust red people and end up loosing 20 bucks, lol)
