http://www.anotherwebdirectory.com is not like any other web directory. It allows web masters to submit a review of their website / product /serivce so as to gain a quality back link. Ever since it was online another web directoy was a great success.

SUbmit a review now for free and if you like the free service please link thanks! :)

Nice directory but anybody who submits isn't getting a "quality backlink" are they. Your directory name is contained within the link text hyperlink.

When you add your URL it encourages you to "add keywords for search engine ranking" but, unless i've missed something, they won't do you any good.

No You missed the whole concept sorry. My web directory does not redirect traffic. Each and every review is on a seperate page. WHY? So that the PR of the page is passed all to you. THe page will contain only the topic about your website so it would be quality back link since it will point only to you directly.

Browse through the web directory for instance

http://www.anotherwebdirectory.com/review/1.htmis a review about Another Web Directory it self! Can you see the only links that appear on that page is of www.anotherwebdirectory.com only.

Other directories just put a bunch of links one after the other and the PR is split between all the links.

    Did you get the concept?

I understand the concept bamb0lin but the only links that appear are www.sitexyz.com type links. There are no links with any link text (unless i'm missing something) so even if the page got any PR it wouldn't make a difference.

Except the PR is split to the subpage so their is no difference.

Its a nice try to differentiate your directory though and if its not abused may help visitors.

From an SEO perspective though, its no different.

I think it will make a difference becasue the fact that the linking page has the same topc of your website then it will transfer more PR to your page! Even the traffic that you get from the webdirectory is targetted :)

I know PR is transfered along all the links on the same page. What i meant is that nowadays search engines do not consider the number of links that point your website. They also consider the topic of the page that links to you! That way you will get something more from another web directory

That's pure conjecture at the moment - I for one have never seen anything to support that theory, though it is likely to be more relevant in the future.

Your directory is certainly a nice concept though, I'm sure you could do well with it if you can make it more attractive to submitters from an SEO point of view.

As BobL said, a link to sitexyz.com isnt very useful but if you allow anchor text, ie Great Widgets then that would be of more use. :)

Plus I know you are trying to make an income but its a bit excessive for the popups to come up every time you click a link. Posibbly make it so they only come up once if you have to have them

I removed all the popups. I was not aware of the popups since they appear according to location and in my location ads are not served. I adviced the network to remove them but they ignored my email i guess! gezz

If you want to continue with your idea because it isn't half bad. Have two links...One to their site with proper anchor text and another to that page with anchor text like "See more about www.example.com"

    Best of both worlds, right?

    http://www.anotherwebdirectory.com/directory/http://www.anotherwebdirectory.com/directory/http://www.anotherwebdirectory.com/directory/152.htm&s=11
