They would need to be more stable in order to become a bank; too many people are having problems with them.

They are good at what they do so let's keep it that way and not open a new can of worms.

Banks are complicating creatures and are heavily regulated.

They will never want to become a bank, they are happy with what they are doing. Banks need to give cutomers some basic services and they are under some strict regulations, which they will never be able to provide and will be in a chance of getting sued..

They should start service in more countries before doing anything else.

They offer debit/cash card, credit cards, interest saving accounts and many other bank services, why would they want to get into all the banking regulations when they can enjoy all the benefits now and not have to deal with regulators as much?

Like hex stated, they already have savings accounts where you can get interest. They offer pretty much anything a bank could offer, they dont need any more.

Paypal should remain doing what they are doing best with the status of a bank to get recognition from foreign countries. This will ease a lot of difficulties faced by many potential users from countries that do not recognize Paypal.

I think they need to be available to more countries (the send and receive paypal money capability) first before anything else. :D

They will NEVER become a bank for at least next 100 years..

Because bank cannot block an account and keep the money for themselves. Becoz u need to open an account by providing docs and they cannot block accounts without government notice.

So PayPal will always be PayPal and will always suck... (Suck innocent people's money)

Gash!, How much cash do they have in Limited accounts? Perhaps 1 billion :(
