    there is a private message function. Usually people request information in a thread (like please give me the url or stats) and those information will be send via PM.

    Some people "argue" that 's a reminder or record that a private is sent. However, most people use that to bump their thread back in front

    Some people like to keep a record of their dealings on the thread too.
    A couple of PM me's here and there won't do any harm, but simply saying PM me in the threads without ever having any intention to buy is a bad way to increase your post count..
