Want to make a site on Ringtones.

I Want to make a site on Ringtones. I have no idea how to start it from where i will get the database. How the site works? How will a user download a ringtone from the site and get transfered to the mobile phone.
Pls guide me.

You can use their sites, or use a full kit and host it alone, and apply some seo ti it.

I have a layout lying around that was going to be used for a ringtone site: http://www.mobile-tunes.nl/ringtones.php but I later sold the domain attached to it, you can have the layout for 15$ if you want.

 

@Westhaven: We are running a couple of ringtone sites, some with own content and technology (expensive to get, but after break-even, very proffitable). It is hard to get the technology to get sms's to all over the world, so we are also running some affiliate sites that uses mediaplazza's technology (see http://www.mamob.com/ or sig) to do the billing and delivery. not that proffitable , but still a good way to claim a bit of the market to later transfer to your own technology.

Why do you want such a site if you have no idea of how to even start it? I sure wouldn't want to build a site about nuclear physics or something like that...

A year ago I was thinking of creating a site like that but when I think about it .. I would spend too much learning something from scratch. So I decided to do something else instead.

Demand is one thing, the ability to cater for the demand is another.

lol, sorry, man, just being realistic. Ringtones are a very competitive market and if you don't know anything about them it will be very difficult to have any success.

pls don be sorry, we all are frens in this forum i know it has really tough competition and i would love to work in that atmosphere and learning from starting. I have heard that one can make good amount of money from ringtone sites .....and i know how to tackle my competitors, once i make ringtone site.

 

Good luck, just try it and see, you never know but you wil learn. I was thinking to do a webhosting site, talk about competitive and crowded.

Half the fun is entering a competitive market and trying anyway. Sure, it might be a waste of time but then again, it might be a great learning experience and you could even rank if an algo shifts in your favour.

 

Your better off giving free ringtones and slapping a cpalead gateway on to make money
