    I cam across a site today which appeared to be using some kind of amazon contextual ads system to display amazon books relevant to each site pages topic. Does anyone know how they went about doing this?

    Which site are you talking about? Most AWS scripts enable you to pull results based on category/keywords so showing books related to a page's content is quite easy.

    Can you point me to any scripts?

    I dont think this site is manually entering keywords to target certain topics, it appears some script is displaying relevant books based on the topic of the page.

    The site I'm referring to is www.informationoutpost.com

    MrRat has one. There's another one but I can't remember the name nor can I find it at Google.

    Not sure what the site you mentioned use for the script but I'm guessing it uses the same mechanic. If you can set up the keywords for each page/article (CMS like WordPress can do it easily), you can run the script using those keywords.

    Some of the Amazon store scripts are nice but overkill.

    If you're somewhat handy with PHP you can tweak the following script to display items based on a keyword.
