Hyphen (-) or Under Score (_) - which is better to use in the urls?

Do you think that Google or any other search engines differentiates between them?

Hyphen separates the word according to the most SE algos, its the only reason why someone should use hyphen(-)

    Always use Hyphen(-)

Just to be different, :) I don't like either and don't buy domains with them I'd rather have a longer or plural xxxxxxxxxxx.com type domain than a xxxx-xxxx.com!

I believe that hyphen is more standard / SEO friendly (You don't see many _ in domain names).

_ are treated like a letter so hyphens are best. But bochgoch has a good point.

Yes, try to avoid hyphens in domains, when you can. It looks more professional. But always use hyphens to separate words in folder and file names.

SE's appear to read it better. Oh, and humans do too (for whatever that's worth, lol).

As this thread is in SEO forum so if we see it from SEO viewpoint then there is not any difference. But you should go with hyphens because SEs throw human on your website and for them hyphens are easier to remember and type on address bar ;)
