Definition: "Effective CPM - Cost per 1000 impressions. From a publisher's perspective, CPM is a useful way to compare revenue across different channels and advertising programs. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands. For example, if a publisher earned $180 from 45,000 impressions, the CPM would equal $180/45, or $4.00." What is a good eCPM ratio?
I'd like to hear other peoples views on this also, for me a good eCPM is $20 and up, I have a range of sites the lowest has a aCPM of under $1 whilst the highest is in the $20s but I'm not just talking Adsense but combined earnings.
my sites do not perform well in adsense and i have an ecpm of around $0.30 cents total...i would consider a good adsense ecpm to be from 1-3$...anything higher than this is outstanding.
Well, there are lots of people getting outstanding results. On one thread, someone said they had an Adsense eCPM of $200!!!! Of course, it wasn't a lot of traffic, but it did get them $2700 after a couple of months. I read an article saying, typically, online advertising nets $5-$6 eCPM. But, with Adsense, the potential is much higher.
Must admit I never noticed this was in the Adsense forum I just saw it as a new post, just for info the figures I gave were overall and Adsense isn't the primary factor in them.
How would Google know who we are...Can they lookup our Adsense accounts? That is not the point if they say you shouldn't do it then you shouldn't do it. Just because nobody would know if you broke a rul doesn't make breaking a rule right IMO
And when your friends brothers mothers son makes a post to say he was banned from adsense for invalid clicks and his account is closed I guess he would want sympathy for breaking the TOS?? and the fact that he can't remember talking about CPM will not get his account re-instated.
Well, if you come back in a few days and say Google banned me. Don't ask why. Why take the chance, especially for a trivial conversation such as this.
