They made $268,673M last Q, so that'd be about an average of $3MM/ day.

    Haha, what a deal.
Profit isn't necessarily cash, though; you'd only get about $400,000 cash/day.

Eh, yeah but once you pay all the employees for the day, it's far far less, but still far more than most of us make in a whole year :\

Actually, $3MM/day is after all costs and expenses. Otherwise, the calculation would've been over $35MM/day.

From what I understand, Yahoo is in trouble financially...so regardless of what they are bringing in a day, they certainly aren't celebrating.

dude how can you say that Google is making for money than Yahoo. Yahoo has more paid services than Google itself. Here's a link about more Yahoo Services.

    http://docs.yahoo.com/docs/family/more/

Also Adwords are the only main source for Google.

For Yahoo: Yahoo Movies, Yahoo Games, Yahoo Videogames, Yahoo Music, Yahoo help, Yahoo webhosting, Yahoo domains, YPN ( not released world over), Yahoo Mail Plus, Yahoo briefcase, Yahoo...... Yahoo...... Yahoo....

man there are tons of other Yahoo provides and Google doesnt. Better watch before you see. :D ...

I can say that Google is making more money than Yahoo because they are both publicly traded corporations and, therefore are obligated to file 10-Q and 10-K forms with the Securities and Exchange Commission. What is disclosed within these forms is audited financial results.
    It's no secret, buddy.

I think Yahoo makes more than 3 million a day. I think their revenues are $6 billion a year. Although not each quarter is the same, but if we devide $6 billion by 4, we get $1.5 billion a quarter. So, roughly, they made more than $10 million a day.

Actually, the stock price itself has nothing to do with how profitable a company is.
Revenues and net income are different. Generally speaking, when people talk about how much money a company has made, they are referring to profit.

@ReadyToGo and qwestcommunications: You both are quite right about it. I hope you understand what I mean. Yahoo is making alot of $$ underground. That's One big reason why Yahoo declined Microsoft's offer for selling Yahoo.

I think OP was referring to revenue. Anyway, its a lot whichever it is looked at but still significantly lower than Google which had revenues in excess of $10 billion. I think Yahoo made a good move recently regarding their advertsiement. I believe this will increase their share slightly. Some experts people this might give them the real kick they need in order to compete with google. I am not so sure though., I believe the only way forward fro Yahoo is to merge with Microsoft.

If anything, it would be in Yahoo's interest to overstate the numbers, not understate them. You could be right, though; anything is possible.
Yes, that's how it works. I'd say that easily over half of the reputable companies that you know carry long-term debts.
