I never used the service myself, but I would be bent if I chose paypal over my bank or the postal service. I just logged in to paypal and they have a big notice on login that they will no longer be running their bill pay service, and if you used it you better find another way to send money.
Geez, this idiot is getting on my nerves. Voltaire, f*ck off! Nevet, I use paypal a lot, just logged into my account and didn't see anything you mention, could you tell me what exactly do you mean with "bill pay service"?
Fryman, It used to be an option under "send money". You could send money to a utility bill or a credit card. I actually used it regularly fr ony of my paypal accounts, since there was always more debt on the creidt card associated with it. It was nice to be able to send the payment direct, but instead I'll jsut do a withdrawl to bank account then send the payment. Adds a few days to the process, but oh well part of me thinks they might bring the service back as a pay service down the road....
I think that was a country specific option. There were many features not available outside of the States but now it seems there is one fewer difference. It really doesn't surprise me though that they would stop a service like that. Probably more hassle than it was worth.
jayz gave me a shock there...paypal tried to charge me twice for verifying account on another note, wasn't happy bout it.
