Those articles make pretty good reading. The trouble with the OP's is that it doesn't say very much about how you should write the article, or which topics make the best linkbait. There are some subjects that people won't bother to link to, no matter how well you write about them. And saying that you should write an excellent one is a bit of a no-brainer and a non-statement. How many of us were planning to make linkbait out of a crap one?
