Upgrading Wordpress

    Alright guys, I got a problem

    I'm running Wordpress 1.5.2 (yes ancient isn't it).

    Can I upgrade to the latest version?

    I heard that the database structure changes from Wordpress 1 to WP 2.

    So basically how do I upgrade this thing without losing 2 years worth of blogging?

    Green to ppl who can give me a step by step walkthrough.

    First off make sure you have a full backup of the database and all files.

    Then it's just a case of uploading the latest version and running the upgrade script (it's also a good idea to deactivate plugins before the upgrade and reactivate afterwards). For step by step instructions check out the official WP page.

    If you installed it previous from Fantastico, then you can upgrade with a click :)

    Otherwise you have to do all the things manually as told by dct.
