Image plugin for Wordpress

Discussion in 'WordPress' started by trafficnotice, Mar 30, 2007.

Can anyone suggest a good WordPress plugin for images? I am looking for something that would work like Blogger such that when I want to add an image, I can just upload it from my desktop from withing WP; the idea is that the plugin would copy the image into a specific directory on my server just like Blogger does. I am not looking for something that works with Flickr or any other similar service; I want to host the images on my server.

    Thanks!

You have to scroll down when you're writing a post, and there you have an option where you can upload a picture to the server. You can also manage your pictures afterwards.

I can't seem to use the default image upload feature. I have learnt that it is because of the safe mode feature on my server. Is it advisable to turn off safe mode?

I'm not sure what the safe mode is ... does it let you selectively disable it?

I'm not very sure. But it is something related to the server, is it the php safe mode option on the server. I am sorry because, I just started web hosting, and my first server is a vps.

On the post box near the "Visual" or "HTML" function is an "Add media" button.

It's crap though.. it never works for me, I always get a HTTP ERROR
