My biggest regret is still $50 paid for one year reseller hosting, 15GB webspace, 150GB bandwidth, unlimited domains, cpanel/whm, private name servers and a dedicated IP.

    Sounds pretty cool, huh?

    Well, a really nightmare!
I had a reseller account on this server about two years ago but over time server performance got worse, and worse with no support service at all.

I packed my bags and went away, but past August I got a message from the company explaining the reasons of past issues and offering the above package as special deal for customer wanting to get back and try improved services.

I took the package in the belief I was talking to a respectable business man, according to what I heard from his early customer support.

Everything was ok until problems arised again with IP changes, cpanel misconfigurations, etc. etc., later I found that the respectable man is just a teenager playing with servers with no idea on what he is doing.

Today the site is up and down again and again and he changed the original, well-designed resellers website for a kiddy-like pseudo portal serving his city.

Of course he removed all forms of reseller/hosting contact and there is no support service.

I have my own server but I don't want to take the risk hosting somebody else on it, that's why I got a reseller apart, the worst idea ever.

Hm. I regret a lot of things with my business, sadly.

I regret not going into article marketing hardcore sooner.

I regret all the time I wasted with traffic exchanges because I didn't know how to use them.

I regret spending a lot of money with memberships to some organization I never bothered with, all for nothing.

I regret not learning the basics of SEO sooner.

and a lot more I don't feel like thinking about right now.
    *sigh*

Used to consider it a regret, but its more of a lesson learned to always trust your gut instinct...

I regret wasting so much time in the past before I discovered the wonderful world of internet business and marketing. Other than that, I don't regret anything. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take :)

My biggest regret is probably never using meta-tags on my first website. Haha, I know it was dumb of me.
