    I have never liked direct deposit. Even my job paychecks I can have directly deposited and i refuse that service. Most of the money still makes it to the bank but I like walking into the branch with checks to deposit. My wife is a bank teller and without people like us what would those tellers be getting paid to do?

    No the fee would not go up because of that.. you still need tellers to give you money for those people that do not have debit cards or atm cards. Not all banks offer those.
