Banned for reasons out of my control

Discussion in 'Guidelines / Compliance' started by seobits, Aug 7, 2005.

Ok, Google banned my account from adsense.

    Reasons given: Mail no 1
It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on
the ads on your web pages.

    Clarification seeked: Mail no. 2

Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously
disabled for invalid click activity and we have therefore disabled your
    account.

Not sure who was banned. Was it someone from my building, neighbourhood or district or state. How could I control others.

Seeked clarification further with a requesting mail.

By the way I am using adsense since 1 year without any difficulty. Then this shock where I can only blame my stars. Banned for no mistake of mine. It could happen to anyone.

Yes there was a fire and I have requested G for the source of that. One reason might be that someone might have been banned some where and my account is associated with him.

    The possible reasons might be:

He might be taking internet connection from same provider.
He might have name similar to me.
He might be very close to my address.

You could see in the google response in my first post.
"Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously
disabled for invalid click activity and we have therefore disabled your
    account."

Could someone explain me this if I am not getting it as explained above.

They feel you are the same person who's account was banned earlier for invalid clicks. Now if you are not that person its upto you how you convey them and get your account back!

Yeah.. with all the banning going on, I'm pretty scared at this point to even have any of my visitors click on ads anymore. Surely there's justice? Hopefully with MSN and Yahoo competing for ad space, google won't throw a bunch of its clients out the door and lose all of its potential revenue? I really do prefer Google ads thus far.. it would be a shame if I had to switch for no fault of my own.

I make my living out of playing with G. i.e I am a seo. I own several sites and adsense was only a small part of my earnings I make with my sites. I am not pleading G for getting my account back (big chunk of my revenues comes from selling leads) but for a valid reason.

If you are such an expert why are you even posting this here? Is some member here going to phone Google and have them fix your account?

I don't see the problem with talking about the issue with fellow publishers, Fry.

fryman, I think forum is made for that. Sharing and getting views. No, I don't want anyone to call G for fixing my account. I just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone here as I think this is one of the most active adsense related forum I know. If this has happened to me after one year of owning adsense account, It could happen to anyone as the reasons for which I was banned was out of my control.

You posted that the account is related to one that has been previously banned? Did you create a second account after getting banned once? There was someone not too long ago who created an account under a friends' name after getting his banned - is that yours?

I don't think google goes and bans adsense accounts on a whim. I have a good hunch that their software is a little more advanced than that.

Now you have a point. Maybe we should ask Shawn for a blank form for these posts, and you just have to fill in the blanks.

No, I have only one account. Sometimes I do acces my account from other computers when I am on move. I am not sure if this might be the reason.
