Every day I come to this forum and am inundated with PageRank threads. As of this posting there are 9 threads with PageRank in their subject out of a possible 30 threads on the first page. I assume another 5-10 or so mention PR somewhere in the body of the post. In my opinion there's way too much focus on PageRank in general and especially in the main Google Forum. In other words, there's enough post volume around PR to warrant its own sub-forum.

    What are everyone's thoughts?

    ;)

Someone suggested this a few weeks ago - it does seem to be a very popular issue that fills the Google forum to capacity! It would be a good idea to keep all the PR saddos and anoraks out of the main Google forum!

It would be a bit weird to add a forum on a phenomenon that is pretty (no, not totally) irrelevant to the actual google serps.

[edit]given that the other poll has a whopping 80% of webmasters saying they think PR is important, I do think there should be a new google-pr forum [/edit]

That's it. Someone who doesn't read forum, and doesn't use search button, will not find a proper forum for his question too.

Or maybe a BIG GIANT link for PageRank Discussion that goes off site somewhere, with the back button disabled.

Maybe you should make a request under " Suggestions & Feedbacks " and if there is any need then I guess admin can make separate Page Rank Section .
Personally , I would vote for making a separate Page Rank section to discuss PR issues / updates and all .

There should be sound signal and content filter installed, whenever user is going to use words "PR" and "UPDATE" it should make horrible beep sound.

I think there should be a subform just for pagerank discussion.

This has been discussed before. So I doubt if these will be approve. But since there is an constant increase in PR addict so I think this request is reasonable. :)

why would you bother making a separate forum? Then most of the people that have posted in this thread to complain would have nothing to piss and moan about.

I do not understand why people who are supposedly so offended by PR threads that they find that they have to click on it to see what is written (and write a comment themselves which takes a few minutes, telling us what a waste of time it is).
