The reason why you cannot create a "con" folder in windows is because it's a part of a MS-DOS command "copy con". This command is used for creating new files:

    C:\DOCUMENTS>copy con filename.ext

Now, the problem is that "copy" is also a separate DOS command (used for copying files of course)

So writing "copy con filename" would have created a confusion. (copy a folder named "con" vs "create a new file" ). Therefore, "con" was forbidden as a folder name.

So...not only Microsoft knows WHY it's not possible to create such a folder, but, they also did that in purpose.

P.S. Something is wrong with your font size and nobody knows why. Plus, you have a link to a website that has nothing to do with the thread. Try using the signature option...

    CON stands for standard output
    try this:
    copy file.txt con
it will echo file.txt at display

You can not also create PRN folder because PRN stands for default printer :)
    copy file.txt prn
will send file.txt to default printer
