.net or .org or .co.uk

Hey,

I have a domain, where i own practically every major extension apart from the .com which is unused. I would like your opinion on which extension i should use as the main site extension (to advertise).

Your choices are:

.net
.org
.co.uk

I think you should go for .net but if your site is related to uk then you should go with .co.uk

i would pick up a .co.uk for any site, not just UK sites

When .com is not available, .net is you next best bet.

 

.net is universal and sounds best

.co.uk is just uK so no

 

i prefer .net after .com

 

I voted .net as well even though I'm starting to wonder about the .info and .ws extensions. I know .ws isn't "website" like a bunch say but still seems like it's getting really popular.

I vote vor .net, unless your targeted audience is mainly British, then go for co.uk, my second option

 

Why not use both?

.net for worldwide visitors and .co.uk for UK visitors

In the UK I find .com or .co.uk is fine IMHO UK visitors will use either .com or .co.uk before they use .net but worldwide it would more likely to be .com then .net

If UK market then .co.uk otherwise .net or approach the .com owner and buy that

 

The perfect answer, I second that. If you are in the UK and don't have the .com go with the .co.uk and have the .net as an alias or redirect.
