Auction Ads - 15,229 impressions and 112 clicks but no revenue yet. Anyone else seeing terrible results? Perhaps I don't have the right keywords. I'm using Video Games for a skyscraper ad on the front page of one of my gaming forums.

1.)I think it is the right kw , but instead of "Video Games" i would take some more like "gaming,console...." things like that.

2.)if a user clicks on ya ad , and bids on a item .. it can take a few days until you'll see the revenue ^^ cauze the bidder have to "win" the auction.

    I've registered too.

I've had similar clicks earning $0.48 so far.

I've going to give it a couple of weeks to see how it does.
I've set up a random php function of mine to rotate the keywords from ipod/ps3 etc

You aren't going to see Adsense like numbers off the bat. If someone goes to your site looking at video games and a week later decides to buy a baseball card, you still get paid. Waiting only a day or two is not enough time. Even a week isn't long enough.

    We'll see I suppose.

I've had them up for about a week I believe. I only took them down because I heard that having 3 adsense units can decrease the bids for keywords on your site... so I removed the skyscraper and replaced it with this stuff.

Wasn't getting any ads on a very niche UK based site so took them off ... will try again elsewhere. But I'm not getting a warm glow from other publishers...

Today it gave me some, at least better than AdSense. I hope it will increase and I will be able to open a thread with the title of "Auction Ads - 15,229 impressions and 112 clicks and XXXX$ revenue." :)

I believe they are trying to do a better job of matching the keywords. For some of the items doen't seem to connect with the page at times.

I imagine it depends quite a bit on the product targetting. This might work a lot better for a motorcycle site than a used cell phone site. The earnings are going to be directly related to the price of the item for sale.

    Yeah, kind of.

What's so important to understand about this program is the fact you get paid no matter what the user buys. Even a few days later you get paid.

For example, the other day I went to www.auctionads.com and clicked on their ad on the front page. I had no interest in the item; I just wanted to see how quickly things would load. I bought something on ebay a couple days later and because they were the last affiliate link I had clicked, they got the commission. I had forgotten all about clicking that link.

I would think that is where most income comes. Not the "same day item I clicked on purchase", but casual purchases people make by simply going to www.ebay.com
