How to optimize a blog?

    I understand basic seo, but how do you use meta tags on main index template (wordpress) do you use h1 tags for each post? Please let me know the best way to optimize a wordpress blog

    i think there is no difference between blogs and the others site. you can apply the same seo tech.

    Are you using Wordpress? If yes, I recommend you use this plugin. This plugin lets you enter specific meta description and keywords per entry without affecting your index page's meta tags.

    Another way to optimize a blog is by installing Recent Posts plugin and Most Viewed Posts plugin and placing them on your blog's sidebar (or somewhere else). By placing links from your index page to your recent posts and most viewed posts, you are inviting spiders to crawl these pages as well, hence, strengthening them in terms of ranking in search engines.

    And of course, the Google Sitemap Generator is very useful.

    I really hope you're using Wordpress coz if not, everything I just mentioned is useless. :rolleyes:

    Do Not forget to write quality posts. Do some research and then write. I merely wrote 2-3 original posts 2 months ago and I am getting 50-100 uniques a day even now.

    I must must say... quality posts and research summary will do wonder.
