I tried to think of a way to fit my site in there somehow, but couldn't come up with a way. :) Good luck with your directory anyway, though!

    That's truly pathetic

    http://www.tuneauto.com/index.asp?Page=12&cat=39

    http://www.chevychevy.com/

New and used 1955-1972 Chevy parts, including Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, Firebird parts and sheetmetal.

    Copied directly from http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Vehicles/A...rs/Antique_and_Classic/Parts_and_Accessories/

Of course the whole site leaves out the attibution as required by the Open Directory License --> http://dmoz.org/license.html - so it wont get listed in ODP real soon [not that you care]

And if the truth about Google deprecating directories that are mirrors of DMOZ, it's of questionable value to anyone.

I don't agree with you at all, macdesign. I don't find it at all pathetic. I find it very significant and meaningful.

    Nice job, gworld.

I am glad that you like it.:D

Don't you think that I knew that DMOZ editors will look at this and try to make smart ass remarks? I suppose being smart is not a pre-requisite for being an editor.

Why do you think I did that? Do you remember this thread.

By the way, thank you for all the traffics, on my other web site, DMOZ traffic is in third place after Google and MSN and my site is not even listed in DMOZ. :D

But if you are really, really upset, I can always provide DMOZ with a link:

DMOZ- Authoritative Directory for Rape and Torture Porn Sites.

Upset that you have built and promoted a directory that is seeded using ODP data? Far from it! I think it's a great idea. The more people that do it, the better, as far as I am concerned, because it shows that there is obviously value in the data....

No, I think that your directory gives even more credibility to the ODP, and I thank you for that.

I am car enthusiast myself, so I tried some of the links myself and I must say the quality is not very good. Any idea on how many of the sites are owned by editors? ;)
I take the description and keywords directly from the web sites and I could see that many of the sites have too many mistakes in their page.

If the quality was so bad, why did you use it to build a directory that you own? By the way you slam the ODP, the absolute last place I would have thought you would have got your starter data was a place so useless and corrupt as the ODP. But you did, so we'll just let the facts speak for themselves.

You took the URLs, titles, and descriptions directly from the ODP listing, not from the web sites.. What are you talking about?
