Hi, im fuser and ive created a new design for my directory. After selling all of my directories, i decided to keep my last one. Its not strong, its only PR2 but its free so if you want to add your site, you are welcomed. I already have +5000 sites in the database and i want it to be bigger and bigger. So, i kept this directory and made a custom design. Its very 2.0ish and it has a search engine feeling. I use the phpld 3.1 script with no link back. Well, if you like it let me know and i you dont or have something to improve it also let me know. What mods should i include without changing completely the design?? the url is SC4M.COM Thanks, fuser
mmm ... it's basically a rectangle with 3 buttons and a logo. you can check out here what web 2.0 design concept means: http://www.webdesignfromscratch.com/web-2.0-design-style-guide.cfm At least make that rectangle with rounded corners and the logo with a bolder font. You could use some fresher colors instead of that blue.. It's original though
Hi, thanks for the interest. The colours are from the web 2.0 palette and ive used the stripes normally used in web 2.0 designs and the gradient as well. Anyway, if you take it down to shapes, everything is made of rectangles and buttons thanks for your comments and for the link, fuser
mm ... I would go for something like that: You can use that design if you want. You can even download the psd file I did in 15 mins or so from www.radutrifan.com/sc4m.psd Take care and good luck with your directory
I like the idea presented above, if you can add some tabs.. it would be a plus. Your design concept is going the right way however
Wow, thanks for the psd!!!!!! i really like that...i saw that many users like to have the categories so i could add a new tab that says "Show Categories" and that would take them to a page like the home page but with the categories below... what do you think? Thanks, fuser PS: RaduTRIFAN , send me a PM and ill give you a one year sitewide link at PR5 Phpld Owners (www.phpldowners.com) 120$ value for FREE or a permanent blog post, 20$ value for FREE also.
I'm glad you like it, fuser I've added your button ... but not on the tabs side ... take a look, I think it's better this way And the PSD - www.radutrifan.com/sc4m1.psd You're welcomed
This new design is really nice. Two issues: 1-You didn't use search engine friendly urls for your categories. 2- Clicking on a category, will bring you a list of links without any reference which category you are in and there is no way to go up one level.
Yeah I like the new design it looks really good. The only problem is I don't understand what the whole site does - like its purpose?
