I am following the saga. I have pictures where pieces of Columbia came down less than two miles from my home. That was some big bang. May our astronouts make a safe return to earth.

I am amazed how surprised eveyone is about 10th planet. They have know there had to be at least another one out there to explain the orbits of excisting planets.

the 10th planet pisses schools off, (not that its been proven fully that its a planet). Lots of schools need new books ;P

I REALLY don't know why they don't do that already. Books cost alot, and add a bit more funding education is improved and in the long run less money spent.

I'm not really giving any I wasn't even aware that the shutter already flew into space.
I will be more interested if they started planting plants on Mars or melting that polar Ice so our fishes could start swimming there...lol

I was pleased to see another shuttle go up after all the problems there have been with the US space program lately, but haven't actually heard what the mission is. Do they have a purpose or is it more of a PR thing just to show that the shuttle is still in business?

They still do a lot of experiments up there, so it does have a purpose.

They're testing repair techniques. That and stocking the space station are the big goals for this mission.
