How I made top 10 on google, without spending a dime!

No i'm not selling a book, lol. I wrote an article on my blog on HOW I made top 10 on google with basically only Digitalpoint, it is possible.

A little side note, I did this with multiple keywords. I'm currently on page 2 for "free games"!!! Working my way up.

 

At least this proves that link exchanges and free directory submissions are not yet dead!

Another way is to write articles and get one way back links with your anchor text to your website.

 

If you provide a quality site with good unique content, It is possible to get on page 1 in Google without spending any money.

 

Frankly I'm very surprised that those techniques worked so well on those keywords. Congrats, you earned it.

 

Absolutely, but that takes more time that a bunch of recip's.

 

Many SEO experts say, that you are penalized by Google, if you do "link exchanges", that's why everyone wants "one way links".

One thing i notice about your backlinks is the high amount of relevence

That's the main thing that shot you to the top. When you search a sites links, you should see incoming links that are directly about your site (like he has, just a quick look and you can see his site is about gaming), if you see a whole bunch of unrelated blog links etc, you need to start thinking about getting more relevent links.

Oh, also he only links TO game related sites. Nice job bro. You deserve it. If you ever want to give yourslef that extra boost and go from #8 to #2 or 3 - buy a few very high quality high PR sites - if it doesn't give you that lift cancel the next month, but i have the feeling that your site is so poised that one very strong pr8 sitewide like www.c-squared.com with varied multitext anchors will do wonders for you.

Time = Money
you either invest money, and get the job done, or invest time and do it yourself.
In his case, he invested time.
