Pay-Per-Action (beta): Pay only for actions that you define.

Increase your advertising reach while paying only for actions that you define. First, you'll create an ad and define the action that you want a user to perform when they visit your site, such as signing up for your newsletter or purchasing a product. Then you'll set the amount that you're willing to pay when this action is completed. Finally, you'll install conversion tracking code on your website so that we can verify when an action has been completed.

Anybody else sign up for these? It's pretty sweet, what you do is pay per action, not just per click. So you can pay per lead if you're doing affiliate stuff, or pay per sale, etc.

So how many of you have signed up for the beta?

You can read more about it here if you're interested.

    i doubt it.

AdWords is used by some to advertise services, if the service costs nothing does that mean you get free ads? :p i dont think so.

So basically it is referral for anyone?

In my mind this doesn't mean there won't be cpc ads, just that there will be another addition to the project. Probably won't get as high of a ctras cpc ads since not many people like to sign up for stuff and download unknown stuff, but I'm interested to find out if the actual pay for these is higher by default, since it requires a lot more than just cliking?

Just out of interest - Does anyone know when exactly the beta account offering started? The email that I got after applying stated:

"We're in the process of inviting more participants, but due to the high volume of applications, it may take some time before we are able to invite you to participate."

Just wondering who is being accepted and how quickly ?

PPC rates will probably decline as a result of this as advertisers will prefer pay per action.

    Hey everyone

Time to make more money with Google or save money with Google:D

Google is going to allow advertisers and publishers within Adsense to use pay per action advertising.

Pay per action will allow advertisers to spend money in better ways and allow publishers to earn higher revenues than the current PPC model.

Pay per click is not going away but will now have a new type ad running along side.
