Best Stats software

Just wondering what stats software everyone uses. I'm looking for something that can show me all the search terms people have used to find me and what percentage came from organic search compared to Google Adwords. Does anyone have any suggestions? all the programs I've come across seem to be rather limited in what they can do

I would use AWSTATS or G analytics. Mint is also very nice.

As Drig said Google analytics is free and would clearly show what your looking for.

Another vote for Google Analytics. It's a deep, deep application and can show you some pretty incredible stuff, especially when you set up tracking conversion goals.

For example, I have one conversion goal set up for registration, that tracks every step of the process and shows how many people proceed from the first step (see the link from any page) to the next steps (click the register link, submit the registration form, confirm the registration via clicking an email link). It can really show you where you lose people, and as a result, what part to focus on to improve your conversion rate.

    Hm.

For my purposes I find Google Analytics lacking. Especially with the keywords...it only tells me the top 5 keywords people use to find my site and doesn't tell me what search engines people used those keywords for.

I use Statcounter personally...provides a lot more detail on the information I need.

Good point. I actually use both Google Analytics and Statcounter, in addition to the stat programs available by default from my hosting provider. :)
