Work from home data entry jobs - anyone tried them?

I'm talking about this kinda thing - http://edatajob.com

There's loads of them out there and they always make me think scam but I dunno whether they are or not. Has anyone actually signed up to one to see what it's all about or know someone who has?

I do something similar, but I always get hired by people on these forums. I've never tried that website, or anything outside of this forum to get a job.

The website isn't very professional looking. They want money for you to work for them? Not that I can really be bothered reading all of it, but that's the idea I get. Seems more like a "take your money and run" kind of operation. Or maybe they pay in fake cheques (checks)... Personally I'd avoid.

Also avoid the "financial" jobs where you just have to "receive" cheques and cash them, then send on part of the money to the "employer". They're fake cheques and in most countries cashing of them means jail time.

    That website screams scam.

Why not try affiliate marketing? There's big money in it and you still get to work at home. :)

    That's one possible route. :)

Check out the affiliate marketing section of the forum to learn more.

Knowing my luck I'd probably end up losing loads with the AdSense method. I'll have a read through the aff marketing section though, thanks.

i have tried those and failed, though i don't know about that site in perticular. anyways, if someone has free time, then they can go for it.

i did not earned any money from data entry, but my typing has become fast, so that's helping me to post a lot these days. :D

So why didn't you earn any money? Was there just no jobs there or something? or did you end up doing the jobs for free?

Stay away from Data-entry sites. If you really want to do data entry work from home, go to elance.com and sign up and start bidding.
