 I was at another forum (AHFB2000.com) and this guy was running google ads in his signature tag. How is he able to do that?

Are you sure it was his actual signature - not under first post or something - and that it was live code and not just an image appearing to be live Adsense?

I suppose if a forum allows HTML posts or sigs, then he could insert google adsense code in it, not sure what google would think of that

Makes me wonder about forum advertising in general.. What if a user posts a message saying click on the ads?

Or drew attention to an ad that was displayed between messages etc.. Wonder if Google would consider that a violation.

The Google ads on that site are so well integrated under the posts that it looked like it was a sig line. I was following one specific poster and google ads were under every one of his posts, regardles of where he was positioned on the page. I thought for sure I'd happened on to something new, but it was not to be, sorry.

Ya, I was actually considering implementing this at one of my forums, but the conclusion I came to, was it was not worth the trouble of possibly having my account terminating, as well as the issue of only 3 ad units per page, which would be an issue if you had 4 posts on a page.

He is not using GAds in his signature, he is using a phpbb hack that allows one to have Gads after first post and then after 4th post.

Nothing unusual, even at DP we have Gads after first post!

nothing look weard .. if you are the owner of the board , so you are the owner of the domain .. it will be normal to enable admin to post html on his sig .. so it's just normal ..
