Adsense Is Driving My Crazy

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by alstar70, Mar 18, 2007.

I've been using adsense for 6 months - each month my impressions go up - each month my adsense income goes down AGH!!!!

Anyone else suffered this experience?

    e.g. feb. - 1217 impressions, 16 clicks, $4.52

    march - 2241 impressions, 16 clicks, $1.99

Is this due too small numbers of impressions?

You may have gotten smartpriced too judging by the decreased CPC. Basically what that means is the people who advertised on your website no longer felt like paying that much for it due to diminished returns compared to other alternatives. May have had to do with your SEO and keyword distributions and of course the main theme of the site, what niche its in etc.

$4.52 for 16 clicks is probably way above the norm and you are back to what you should be paid.

Your ctr stinks big time, but your ppc looks ok depending on what theme you have on the site.

Your per click is not bad. The rate from before was very good it all depends on what site is about and cost of keywords.

All earnings have gone down after people realized they can not pay the amount they where before.

Do you use any text links ads. I see better per click with them here is post below. Post if you agree or not no need to say how much money you make.

It depends on the traffic source. If he was reffered from search engine for "keyword A" and the ad was bidded for that "keyword A" then you get more percentage for that click.

Also less is more! If you get less visitors the percentage they give you is higher. The reason is to make you think. "Woou! for 100 visitors and 10 clicks I got $5. If now I get 1000 visitors then 100 clicks X$0.5/click=$50 !!!!!" Unfortunatelly now that you have static traffic they will not give you $0.50 / click but lower e.x $0.20. So for 1000 visitors and 100 clicks you will get 100 clicks X $0.20 = $20 :(

maybe the competition for adsense keywords is deceasing? Having an article directory the keywords are all over the place so I suppose it depends on what article the readers are looking at.

    SmartPricing strikes again!

FYI - disclosing your clicks and impressions is a 'bannable' offense..
