    Dee,

It is really hard to say how long things will take, i mean one i had a list 1,000 sales is easy, but how bout you concentrate on a 100 sale goal which can be achieved in less then a month

    Not necessarily.

No matter what you buy, it is the end result of the application of knowledge. Sometimes people want to buy the knowledge directly. It is not always available.

Ever try to buy the source code of a successful application?

If the owner is smart he will price it as if you had to start from scratch with programmers which may not be as well versed as he is. Case in point, a company approached me for the source code of a product which was to form the basis of a isapi filter that they had an urgent requirement for due to newly introduced legislation. However, the company only wanted to pay $10K. During the negotiation process I pointed out the real cost of reproducing the product from scratch was much greater than $10K and that they had no guarantee that the end result would be successful. In the end, they settled on a guaranteed to work custom modification *without* source code for $15K. Their insistence on an NDA cost them an extra $5K.

The bottom line is that knowledge has value. In that instance, I pointed out to them that while I am not the only person who knows how to implement isapi filters, I was the only person that they had been able to find with the demonstrated ability to create the product they wanted. This of course has a certain value.

Edit: Steve, you really need to go back and fix the grammatical and spelling errors. Some readers may not care or notice, that's fine. But, for those that care, it is a jarring experience which interrupts the momentum that you are trying to create and maintain.

Thanks everyone for the great comments...

As for the grammer, I wrote this report as a free copy initially, I was originally going to sell it, which if I sell something I then will have my editors review it...

In this case, I just wanted to offer the information out there.

    Thanks Steve,
Real life experience has it's own value.
I don't think anyone likes to mimic theory but approaches from someone who has actually done the deed speaks volumes to me.
I will show my appreciation appropriately :)

quality targeted traffic in volume + effective landing or sales page + reputable affiliate = plenty of sales. Don't need a whole book to figure it out.

But how do you do it? What are the details. I think that's what a book will tell you.
