One of the reasons I posted the url was to provide an example for testing one's fake pr detection skills!

Here is a post I posted on my real estate blog today:

    http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/blogs/spoken-gently/990/show/

I should also have mentioned in that post to always check the cache and inbound links for further info!

    Good luck, :)

18 backlinks and is a PR7. I can pretty much assure you that is not possible. That is one way to know.

It's not fair to judge by number of backlinks. You can have fewer backlinks from high PR sites and that will be better than lots from lower PR sites.

There are ways of cheating the system I'm sure, but over time your PR should be valid.

That website is faking PR. There no need to even look at the backlinks. Have a look at the source code.

Actually, I got this url from text-link-ads.com The way they work over there is that you make the purchase, THEN get the link. That's how I found out about this site. Textlinkads is good about refunding fees when not satisfied. I feel bad for those sites that have purchased ads on the site. That word cloud wasn't there a day ago!

I would probably suggest just buying SEO Book to help you out. I dont even know where to start, no offense, with a statement like this.

I agree, however, a site that has 18 backlinks showing up 99.99% of the time is not going to have a PR7. With the law of averages, go check out actual sites with PR7's and you will find probably the majority of them have thousands of backlinks. So IMO its a fair thing to say.
