Hi, I was just wondering if everyone has a set routine they try to keep to everyday to try and get their websites seen in as many places as possible? For example, Do you say to yourself, I want to write 10 posts on forums a day, submit to 5 directories a day, leave 5 blog comments a day and so on, and try and do that every day. What is your Daily Routine? Currently, i don't have one, but i am working on putting a routine together that I can stick to, which will help promote my site phplemon.com, and was just looking for ideas from others. -- Phil
I can never stick to routines. I hate repetitive tasks too. Thankfully people usually like my website ideas and the whole thing goes viral. Then i just deal with the media and press releases.
Seeing how busy I am these days for me, I usually try to make a few forum posts a day, blog as much as I can, release an article as much as I can, etc...
Tyzer, I make myself busy in the forums thus creating links for better, then rest for a time, then back again for more links? So You? Have a routine for your best. Hope to improve your site.
My routine varies but my guiding principles for what I do everyday centers around two things and two things only. I make sure I do at least one of these things everyday for everyone of my sites: 1. Add content or improve existing content 2. Get backlinks Number one is self explanatory. I either add an article or blog post or make the existing content on the site better (maybe expand an article, add a cool widget, etc.) For number two, I might make a couple forum posts, submit to some link directories, submit some articles, social bookmarking, etc. I don't have a set routine on this. I just do whatever I'm in the mood for. The important thing is I do something to get a backlink. After I've done one of these two things for each of my sites, then I dive into other things like checking out tools I might want to buy, reading one of the hundreds of ebooks on my hardrive, idea creation, etc. etc. Travis
my daily routines is quite similar as yours.. post at least 10 posts in forum..give comment to 3 blog per day..add more content to my site..add to social bookmarking site for every new content..that's all
I've tried to stick to a routine, but never can for more than a few days. Lack of discipline I guess.
I don't like routines..i get bored easily. So, I automate things as much as I can and move to other projects. Best, Ana
I have this same problem ephemeral. I'll make a plan at night for the next day. I normally say screw it before my feet even hit the floor the next morning. Cheers, Josh
Guys, motivate yourself..if you want to succeed you must do it.. at first, i agree i would diffult for us to be discipline, but then you can do it consistently easy.
I suck at creating a plan and sticking to it also. I stumbled across a system called simpleology a few months ago and it has done wonders for me as far as setting goals and doing daily routines to get there. I'm far from perfect but I'm much better off then I was few months ago.
I just focus on adding quality content instead of building links on blogs and what not, within a month I was on page one for the keywords I was targeting and I easily get around 1k visitors from google a day now. Whatever you can do in a month the internet can do in a minute, so give them a reason to spread your link by adding content which is worth spreading and forget about the untargeted forum links.
Thats what i have been employed for But he thinks i do f-all cus i am on forums all day gettin info and links.
I have a few people who do work for me that are awesome! They get the job done by 11am central time each day and always have spread sheets and other verification methods to show the work is getting done.
At the moment the routine is article submission... As time goes on that will probably be adjusted. -SS
I think having a marketing routine is extremly important, whether you do it or outsource it. Without constant marketing you'll probaly notice up's and downs in your sales and thats never good for real growth. My team spends about 2 hours a day cold calling targeted lists and another hour networking online.
The first thing I do is check the various newswires for ideas and "news" in my niche that have hit the 'wires' overnight..then create content based on anything that comes up. I used to outsource, but haven't found someone yet that can "do it" as good as I do it or up to my specs. When I say "do it" I mean write and find content. I used to spend all my time chasing links and one-way links but now since I've been focusing more on content than anything else the links just seem to "happen" all by themselves. No more chasing links. It's all about content and creating content now, the more timely the better.
