AVG is good, and it's free. We've used it for years.

Dependant on which computer I'm using, either Avast or Kaspersky. Norton is too slow for me.

Norton is a Pig, eats up too many resources and is the first target of most viruses to shut down first, because it is the most common.

Node 32 is awesome, Anyone serious about AV should look at it.

I use avast, it was the only free antivirus that supported 64 bit windows a couple of years ago.

Haven't had any problems so no reason to change.

My wife spent 5.5 hours today @ work jacking with all her PC's (works in a pc lab testing software) b/c of a threat targeted specifically @ Symantec ---> courtesy of a fired employee.

She also spent 6 hours on Friday doing the same thing.

OH and get this, after the 717 scans that all came back ok, somehow one of her machines acquired a virus....Norton never made a peep!!!!!!!!!!

she was all:

Sound likes, every of us enjoy and satisfied what the current Antivirus we used.
Of course every Antivirus software could protect your PC. The only ultimate different was in terms of usage of resource e.g processor or memory. This can faster or slower you machine.

    Btw I used AVG now

I like symantec corporate/professional. I guess it is a bit of a resource hog but I am fortunate enough to have a good computer, and feel secure with it as I've used them for years and never had a problem (and yes, sometimes I surf "questionable" websites :p) I guess the best antivirus software for a person depends on what they need out of it.
