h1 with image not rendering

Hi,

I'm quite new to CSS - I'm in the process of redesigining my whole site to use CSS and by and large it's gone quite well, but I'm having a couple of problems. This one in particular is driving me mad as it only appears to happen on my machine.

In the bottom left you should see "Legend Press Blog" with double horizontal lines above and below, and a little icon on the left hand side. This works on every browser I've tested on every machine - Mac Safari, IE6 & Firefox plus PC Opera, FF and IE6 & 7.

For some reason, however, it won't display on mine at home. I thought it might be something odd with my Windows installation, but I rebuilt my machine last week and I'm still having the same issue. Could anyone make any suggestions as to what's causing this please?

As it's only a problem on your machine are you running a firewall if so is it ad blocking the image?

Have you tried removing the width= and height= from the img tag?

 

Hadn't thought of the ad blocking - might try it without it, but weird that friends who use the same AV as me (have used both ZoneAlarm and Norton IS 05) have not had the problem.

Taking the width etc out sadly had no effect

 

Removing the width and height normally circumvents ad blockers unless they don't like a word in the URL.

The alternative is to set the image as a background to the H1 tag and remove the img tag. It's the way I would do it.

 

Norton blocks images with the word sponsors in the url - it took me a while to suss that out!
