    Hello,

I have a domain with registerfly and although I paid to renew it they didn't do it, so now the domain is down and they don't answer to my tickets.

Is there anything I can do?

    Thanks,
    Assaf

yes - it is pointless... you wait for 30 minutes on the line and disconnected. And because it is international call it is expensive...

Yes, you can transfer the domain to another registrar - I would suggest GoDaddy but others prefer Namecheap or Moniker.

The Official bodies responsible for the domain extensions are allowing additional time for Registerfly customers to be able to move their domains. Registerfly being what it is, the domain will still be in your customer area so you should try getting the auth code from there.

I'm referring to this announcement from ICANN where it states
In addition to this legal action, ICANN today convened a telephone conference among those needed to implement a plan that will help cease unintended deletions. The participants were registries holding RegisterFly names: Afilias (.info), NeuStar (.biz), VeriSign (.com, .net), RegisterFly backend services provider Tucows and eNom (for which RegisterFly was a reseller) as well as representatives of RegisterFly.

I wouldn't transfer it to Godaddy, thats just moving your problems from one place to another.

Namecheap and Moniker are both good options

I never had ANY problem with GoDaddy. There customer service has always been really good for me. They are a huge company and advertise on TV. They also has a 6.50 transfer from Reg.Fly deal going on to help us out. Plus all the time left on your domains with Reg.Fly are transfered so you really dont loose any money. The problem is domains that expired in Feb. Reading the ICANN documents .. it seems they only seezed domains from March 07 .. looks like they forgot about all the domains that expired in Feb.

RegisterFly ALWAYS sounded like they were answering the phone from there bed (esp. when I call extremely late). . I can tell they just leaned over the bed to pick up the phone.. sketched me out .. but I never thought it would come to this.

yeah and many people never had any problem with registerfly until now

godaddy are notorious for doing everything possible to fill their own pockets and neglect their customers.
