I have a diabetes site. Half the time i displays perfect targetted diabetes ads and half the other time it displays tax cuts BS. akjdaksfjslfsa. AD TARGETTING PLEASE.
If you want contextual ads where they definetly have enough ads to fill your inventory, go to adsense. YPN will fill it the best they can, but on the bright side even the non targeted ads pay upwards of $1, almost regardless of content. When using YPN, I never used it to contextually target - rather I set it to target the highest paying keywords. I can understand you'll want nothing but related ads, but as I said, you'd have to go to google for that.
I agree with Daz on that... Google's Ad targeting is much better as they are old players and have much better technology.. but YPN is paying muchthat is what i have learned here.. I have just registered with YPN today... although i am making good money with adsense .. "Thanks to the good targeted content" but still i think i should try YPN too.
Anyone with the ability to do so should give YPN a try. With a difference of $0,05 compared to $1,50... even a lower CTR will make up for that kind of a difference.
I thought YPN was banning for setting targeting for high paying ads, instead of site relevant ads, since it leads to non conversions.......
For me the difference is far less dramatic. 1/10 of the number of clicks I am getting on YPN gives me about 1/5 of the money (meaning YPN only pays about twice what Adsense pays)
When I switched a long, long, long time ago from Adsense to YPN I got only half the clicks with YPN as I was getting with Adsense, however the CPC was averaging about eight times higher. Since then the CPC has dropped to about half of what I was getting when I first started using YPN, which means my effective income is still double of what Adsense would bring in. The point I'm making here is that I switched for the money, if your looking for nice relevant ads then just use adsense, but if you want more money shutup and stick with Yahoo.
