Channels Don't Add Up

Discussion in 'Reporting & Stats' started by andy_boyd, Jul 21, 2005.

I've been checking the total earning reported through my channels against the aggregate earnings total, but they do not add up.

I have all my sites listed in channels, so why would they not add up?

Anyone had this happen in their account before?

Does the channel data add up to be more or less than the aggregate data? If you have overlapping channels, an ad click can go into more than one channel, for example if you have overlapping URL and Custom channels or you have 2 url channels on for the base domain and another for an internal page. If this is the case, your channel data will be more than the aggregate data. Also, do you have any ads anywhere that are not in a channel?

There seems to be a lower channels earnings total than th aggregate total. Really strange.

I've noticed this discrepancy for a while. And more than that, I have two ad units on the same page with different channels and the number of impressions reported is substantially different. How can that be?

This is something even I have noticed and wondering how that could be. Am a bit more concerned about this.
