The Hidden Gem of Free Targeted Traffic!

I've use this for sometime on eHDMI.com with GREAT success. By far, this is a hidden gem in the website traffic area that is GREATLY underused! What exactly is it?

Yahoo! Answers! Simply search for unanswered questions that relates to whatever it is that you sell/specialize in, answer the question and use your site as a source in the "source" box! This is a Fabulous way of getting FREE TARGETED traffic to your site!

I search for new questions each day and post, and respond. I've gotten TONS of orders this way.

    I hope this helps

Would this be considered spamming? If the "source" URL actually helps provide some supporting evidence behind the answer, seems like a legitimate way to get traffic ...

He's providing a useful technique and pointing out his service in the process. That's just the way things are - not spam. I want to try this Yahoo! answers thing.

I've used Yahoo! Answers almost exclusively (other than article submissions) and the bulk of my traffic comes from Yahoo! Answers. I wrote a tutorial on how to use it effectively on another forum. I'll try to dig it up and post it here.

It's not spamming at all as long as you provide a real answer to the question being asked. The key is to provide such a good answer that your answer gets selected as the "Best Answer." Right now I get about 50% of my answers selected as "best" and I've probably answered around 100+ questions and I use links going back to my site all the time in the resource box.

Thanks for reminding me of this; someone mentioned a few weeks ago on another forum. I think Google had a similar thing, although they may have just shut it down.

Can't wait to give it a try.

I never thought of Yahoo Answers as a way of advertising my forum before! What a cool idea. I started doing it today and already have seen an increase in traffic comming to my site from there.

    Thanks for the advice :)

I put my url under few answers ,long time ago, and I am still receiving few clicks every day from Yahoo Q&A.

The problem is you never know, Yahoo spiders might relate all these activities to
your web site (if included in your profile) rating at their search engine.

I misused their groups when I started my web site (six months ago) and till now Yahoo is giving me a complete miss

Good idea for a young site, although does anyone have any numbers on how effective it is? The problem with this strategy is that it isn't very expandable.

Can someone advise as to how you generate traffic to your site with Yahoo answers? For example, if I wanted to answer a question about network cables, can I provide a link to the right product on my ecommerce site as part of the answer? I think that this is not allowed, but am not sure. Thanks.
